This coming Saturday at 9:00am the Ranchview band will have a required parent meeting and band registration in the Ranchview auditorium and band hall. We are asking that all students and one parent attend this meeting and registration.
We will start with the parent meeting at 9:00am in the auditorium. During the meeting we will be discussing the upcoming year in the Ranchview Band. We will be talking about the calendar, schedules, website, volunteering, football games, contests, concert season, concerts, Taste of Ranchview and a whole lot more. It is a chance for you to learn more about the program and meet the new band staff.
After the meeting you will we will escort you to the band hall at 10:00am where we will have you register your child for the band. This is different than school registration. This is when we have you fill out some forms needed for the school year. During this time you will order all the items needed for the band program. There is a small fee that we require to be in band. This fee is to help pay for t-shirts, water jugs, shoes, gloves, repairs, props, food, entry fees, and many other items that are needed that the school district does not pay for. We are very proud to say that our fees are some of the smallest fees in the DFW area.
We understand if you cannot pay the entire fee on Saturday. You have several options for the band fees. You may pay in multiple installments during the year with the first installment due this Saturday. If you cannot pay for the first installment this Saturday, it is not a problem. We will be able to create a custom payment plan for your needs. You have most of the school year to pay the fee for band. We customize a plan for your needs. With this fee your student will receive a show shirt, one gallon blue jug, show shirt, gloves, black towel, and marching shoes (freshmen only). All freshmen will get a pair of marching shoes with their fees. All sophomores, juniors, and seniors may purchase a new pair of marching shoes if they need them.
Also during this registration, you will be able to order additional show shirts, decals, sweatshirts, extra marching shoes, extra gloves, etc.. These are all optional items and we will explain all of this during our meeting.
